Language Features

WALT: Recognise and understand specific language features.
Reflection:

I was able to get help from Mrs P because I did not that much language features.

I was getting some help from Mrs P and from google in the end I was done i was so happy because I Was done a ready.

Next time i am going to not get help from Mrs P or google .

All about Usain

WALT:

Locate and evaluate Information about usain bolt on the internet. at least 5 facts create a slideshow including theses facts and any images/Videos of usain bolt.

Reflection: I learned today usain bolt made a movie about himself in 2016.

Next time i will get more photos and more information.

Ghost Prediction

WALT: To make a prediction based on the cover and blurb of ghost by Jason Reynolds

I was able to look at the front of the cover and it looked like the boy was running and I read the title.

Next time I will have more interesting prediction because going to find a good book with a good blurb with interesting words and I will look and at the front cover and look at the name of the book.  I will use the words on the blurb to help me better with the predictions.

The Flax Flyers

Walt: recognise and understand specific language features eg. factual and persuasive language

This was easy because in this story I could work out the words that were facts because they were teaching you how to make flax flyers.

I am going to use some persuading words in my letter to the Leadership team about school uniforms eg. uniforms are better because they are blue.

My Word Clarification Sheet

Walt: actively seek to extend my word knowledge.

I was able find words that I am not sure about and put them on word clarification chart.   

Next time I am going to put in only words that I don't know the meaning off.  I will try hard not to include words like TV and milk because I know what they mean it's just I don't know a lot of information about them eg. craving.    I will make sure that use my own words because that way I will understand what I am writing.
